Thalassotheraphy
Thalasso, from the Greek word talassa, refers to the ancient therapeutic use of seawater.
Spa is the acronym for Sanus per Aquam in Latin, meaning "health through water".
In a tranquil setting on Mexico's tropical Pacific coast, at the edge of Ixtapa (in the "dual destination" Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo), Loma del Mar features sixteen spacious suites, each with private balcony. They overlook the hotel's vast gardens, palapa-topped restaurant and lounge, the bubbling 70-foot thalasso pool (pictured above), and adjacent golf course/nature reserve with mountains in the background.
In addition to the pleasurable and therapeutic thalasso (Greek word for "seawater") pool, the resort's extraordinary spa treatments offer joys of relaxation, rejuvenation and a deep feeling of wellness.
For beachgoers, Ixtapa's nearby soft-sand beach has an exclusive palapa-shaded area especially for Loma del Mar guests.
Our concierge service can arrange golf, sportfishing, sailing, scuba, surfing, private excursions to Zihuatanejo, and, just down the coast, the recently discovered archeological site.
